How to install a kitchen sink

Installing a kitchen sink is a home repair job that requires some basic hydro knowledge and hands-on skills. Here is a basic installation step guide:
1. Prepare tools and materials: Prepare the tools needed to install the sink, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, saws, sealant, duct tape, etc.
2. Turn off the water source: First turn off the main water valve in the home to prevent water problems caused by accidental boiling water during installation.
3. Remove the old sink: If you are replacing the old sink, you need to remove the old sink first. Take care to cut off all water pipes connected to the sink during removal, and be careful not to damage the countertop.

4. Measurement and marking: According to the size of the sink on the table for accurate measurement and marking, determine the position of the sink.
5. Cutting the table: If the table is a solid material, it is necessary to cut the opening of the basin according to the mark. Be careful to cut precisely and leave gaps for installation.
6. Check the sewers: Ensure that the location and height of the sewers meet the requirements, are not blocked, and can drain smoothly.
7. Install the sink: Place the sink at the opening of the countertop and adjust the position to ensure smooth. Then evenly apply sealant to the bottom of the sink where it meets the countertop to secure the sink and prevent leaks.
8. Connect the water pipe: Connect the cold water pipe and hot water pipe to the water inlet pipe of the sink. Use duct tape to ensure that the connector does not leak.
9. Install the water pipe: Connect the water pipe to the water outlet of the sink, and ensure that the interface is tight. If necessary, install the P-trap (U-tube) and check that it is installed correctly.
10. Check and test: After installation, open the water source to check whether all the connected parts are leaking. If all is well, turn off the water valve and clean the work area.
11. Complete the installation: Finally, install accessories such as faucets and drainers, and then check all the connections again.
If you are unsure about the installation process, it is recommended to consult a professional or review the detailed sink installation manual. Safety first, if you are not familiar with the operation of water and electricity, it is best not to install yourself, so as not to cause unnecessary losses and dangers.
